About

Led by Travis Wright, Afield is a product design studio
that brings beautiful, useful things to life.

I am

Full-stack
Fluent in every aspect of a project from team formation and leadership to design and delivery of the final product, I guide ideas from whiteboard to launch.

Full-lifecycle
Experienced with every stage, I’ve helped startups come to life, mid-stage companies scale, and late-stage companies reinvent themselves.

A Synthesizer
Expert at distilling vast arrays of inputs, I’m obsessive about finding and delivering the highest-impact mix of value, usability, and feasibility.

Plug-and-play
Capable of leading projects or providing targeted support to existing teams, I integrate seamlessly into any project phase.

Scalable
I adaptively collaborate with a select group of product managers, researchers, designers, and engineers as needed.

I believe

It takes a village
Meaningful things are the product of many hands and minds.

Values set the course
The things we make mirror what we care about.

Process is a product
How we make things is as important as what we make.

The details matter
At every phase. From design to implementation. They are the thing.

Fewer, better things
Hell yeah, or no. 80/20 gets interesting, 90/10 gets magical.

Our best work is in front of us
Nothing is wasted. Everything we try is grist for the mill.
